Book reading in Aotearoa

05 August 2017

7056dab0-f048-4aea-9ef0-58e6a8d0832d.jpgThe Book Council has recently published a new research report that has found nearly 400,000 New Zealanders did not read a book in 2016.

Following this, reporter Jack van Beynen took a deep dive into New Zealand's relationship with books, including the benefits of reading, the reasons why Kiwis aren't reading, at how Kiwis are accessing books, and a look to the future with some of the more positive trends in New Zealand reading.

You can also watch our Chief Executive Jo Cribb chat with TV1 about our research, and listen to our Marketing Communications Manager Steph Soper chat with Jesse Mulligan on RNZ here.
