Bumblebee

21 October 2021

What a delightful book about a very real plight. This book will be a hit with children all over. The almost singable rhyming vocabulary flows well (I found myself humming as I read) and the vibrant, relatable and lifelike illustrations tell the story well.

I liked the inclusion of bee facts in the back which link this story with fact. Bees are the centre of life and this book shows just what is happening to them and shows their importance.

This is the author’s second book about these bees. Bumblebees have smelly feet was published in 2019. There are teacher resources on her website here
