Flying Furballs Unmasked
This book is a fun read for a wide range of ages. Parents will enjoy reading it aloud to the younger members of their family. Adults will relate to many of the action-packed chapters because of their movie-like scenes. The vocabulary is suited to readers who have a good command of English, containing words such as ‘technologically advanced’, ‘masquerade’and ‘actually intending’. Alternatively, if a classroom teacher is reading this book to their students, then it would be a great source of vocabulary for discussion and extension work. There is humour throughout and vivid, descriptive vocabulary that will once again appeal to both the young and old alike. An example of this is a perfume named ‘Kennel No. 5’. The text is set in real locations across Europe during 1917, where a war is taking place between cats and dogs, and features spies and secret plans. There are black and white illustrations on every page that are particularly detailed, which make this book appealing for able readers who are still not managing to read longer texts. There are fascinating diagrams that the reader can pore over and take time to enjoy. This book is 111 pages long and it can be read in under an hour.
