I Love Bugs
From the appealing cover, through the delightfully illustrated pages, this catchy and adjective filled story tickles the tastebuds.
I Love Bugs introduces and names common insects and is supported with the brightest, boldest, realistic pictures that enrich and complement the text. The text is filled with colourful adjectives, often using alliteration, to describe each bug. The rhyming pattern carried over 4 pages is not so obvious especially if you stop to admire the amazing pictures and talk about the insects but it does feature.
A read aloud must for the under 5’s and a fun read for teaching adjectives to young primary children. The final pages share some extra information about the insects in the book including their Māori names.
