Kylo Kitty moves to the city
Moving and making new friends can be hard, but also an adventure! We join Kylo Kitty on a journey after he has moved to a new city, on the lookout for new friends, but the quest to find new friends is not easy. Written in rhyme the story moves along quickly and would make a good read aloud.
I really loved the illustrations, like scenes cut from a movie, with depth, drawn from interesting perspectives and angles. An atmospheric feeling is created using lighting, shadows and highlights in a way that I haven’t seen in many picture books. Through the illustrations I felt a connection to Kylo Kitty and I became part of his journey.
This would be fabulous to have at hand to support children who are struggling with a transition or finding friends, as they will find some inspiration in Kylo Kitty’s determination to keep going despite setbacks.
