Lily the Littlest Angel: Lily Has a Secret

12 February 2020

Lily is practising for an all-important concert where she could earn her silver shoes. Just before the final rehearsal with the very bossy Tisa she finds a lost and hurt little kitten. Lily smuggles the kitten into the academy and tries to kept it hidden as pets are against the rules. But scared kittens are very difficult to hide. How will Lily manage Tisa, the kitten and the concert?

This story will delight young readers as they transition to chapter books. The characters are delightful and the story engaging. Children will relate to Lily’s protectiveness towards the cute kitten, her concern about rule breaking and her relationship with a dominant partner. It is pleasing to see the clear font that is easy to read with lovely illustrations scattered through the text.
