Millvy’s Missing Tail
This would be a good story to use when teaching children that it is okay to be different, and about perseverance. The book is recommended for 3-7year olds but there is a lot of text for the younger children to listen to. At the end of the book there is an information section to share- facts about Millvy with the reader. There is also a great website with a blog, facts about the cats and activities for children: www.millvy.com
I did find it difficult to find details about this book and other books in the series. It is not available for purchase through the usual shops but as the sale of the books supports charities in the Pacific, it was definitely worth the time trying to source it.
Ed’s note: we’re contacting the author/publisher to recommend that they list their books with both Nielsen andThorpe Bowker to help make it easier for schools and libraries to discover and buy.
