Run Ayla Run

08 August 2019

This a lovely collection of four short stories written, as though straight from the imagination of Ayla. A visit to the Storysong Facebook page reveals that the author was inspired to write these short stories after watching her nieces play. What a great way to inspire students to write!

There is a mixture of simple drawings with both speech bubbles and direct speech making the stories easy to read and enjoy.

The simplicity of the stories make them great to use as a writing prompt for imaginative writing, observational writing, show don’t tell and teaching inferencing in reading.
