Take the Lead: How to Care for your Dog
I know this book will be an immediate favourite in our school library!
This is a wonderful guide for anyone who has a dog or is thinking of getting a dog as a pet. It is packed full of interesting information and advice from how to choose a dog, feed and training it, to unique facts about them.
There are only 48 pages in this book but it is thorough and packed with useful information. The cover is bright and inviting, and each chapter is colour coded, using colourful text boxes to highlight important information. There are clear subject headings with delightful illustrations by Jennifer Farley throughout, together with some charming photos.
It is a small format paperback book (22cm x 16.5cm) which might get lost on a library shelf, but is easy for young children to handle.
I can’t recommend this book enough – the production is excellent. I’m going to have to buy another copy for the library as I know it will be in constant demand!
