Thank You
The blurb to this book describes Thank You as a story of adventure and gratitude, as a boy who is about to go to sleep ends up on a journey, and then tries to get home. Throughout the journey he gets lots of help from the environment in the way of the moon, sun, animals, weather and many others. With everyone’s help the boy gets back home in time to sleep.
Each event shows what the environment can give us or do for us, and there are great learning notes at the back of the book to support parents and educators in supporting children to be mindful, considering events in the story.
The best part about Thank You is the illustrations. They are truly beautiful and really match the tone of the writing. There is so much detail on every page to look at and discuss. The illustrations really enhance the meaning here.
This is a beautiful book to share at bedtime with tamariki, or at a quiet time in the school day for educators, or to teach children about calm and mindfulness.
