This cute book will be great for bedtime reading – as the title implies. The story reads well as we say goodnight to the iconic and common animals we find in New Zealand, with the gentle reminder that our Native Kiwi awakens as we all go to bed. The illustrations (where to start with these!) I love them. They give all creatures a human child-like appearance and their bold, bright colours enhance the story.
