The Hug Blanket / Te Paraikete Tauawhi

19 October 2020

A beautifully written text about spending time with a loved Grandparent and then dealing with the loss published in both english and te reo editions.

This story shows how the young girl deals with the news of her Grandmother’s passing and how the memories help her to hold on to part of Nana. This text would be great to share with anyone who has recently lost someone and is struggling. It would be a great model for writing memories of special people or moments in time.
