The third book in the series from NZ Writer Rhys Darby is action packed with numerous plot-twists to keep the reader on their toes. In this book Buttons McGinty heads into space looking for Mumsy being held by Queen Zankerflorna. It is full of pictures and rather a lot of acronyms! Children can learn morse code along the way as well. It is fast paced and changes direction quickly which is exactly why it appeals to children. It would be a little hard to read to a class with all the images and probably best left in the hands of the students who will curl up in the corner reading and sniggering away!
