Tractor

07 June 2022

Bold and catchy are the best two words to describe Sally Sutton’s new book Tractor. The illustrations from Brian Lovelock are just so big and bright clearly showing each different job the tractor is doing with the different implements attached.

New vocabulary is a strong feature in this delightful rhyming text. The inclusion of terms like harrow, seed drill and combine harvester are a great introduction to farming language. The learning doesn’t stop there, at the end of the story there are some clearly labelled diagrams of a tractor.

This book combines learning and fun at just the right level for pre-schoolers
