Tulip and Doug

06 August 2020

Tulip was well known in her neighbourhood especially for the special friend she took everywhere, Doug the potato. Together they had great adventures until Tulip began to notice changes in Doug. He began to grow knobbly bits and he got wrinkly but Tulip didn’t mind. Until one day Doug disappeared…..

This is a lovely story of friendship and adventure for young children. The engaging text is enriched with dramatic language that may extend children’s vocabulary. Doug the potato is adorably portrayed in the delightful illustrations that are bold, colourful and engaging.

Beautifully written and wonderfully illustrated I recommend this charming book as a great book to share with loved ones and a read aloud for classes.
