What Colour is the Sky?
This beautifully illustrated book is about pondering a simple question and how depending on who you ask you will get a different answer. As Pihoihoi wonders what colour the sky is, he finds that each of the creatures he meets has a different answer for him. This book would be great to teach inference skills; why do the creatures see the sky differently. It will also allow children to see that while people have different opinions they are not necessarily right or wrong. The back of the book has learning notes which explain why each of the creatures saw the sky differently and these could also be used to discuss why people may ‘see things’ differently to us depending on their circumstances.
