Which? What? Why? New Zealand Garden Wildlife

01 December 2020

Children are naturally curious with millions of unasked questions about the world around them. This book contained the answers to questions I had never even thought of! Full of fun facts about birds, insects, flora and fauna, this book has it all. Illustrations on every page, it is easy to read with speech bubbles from the creature in question to short, snappy explanations. There are longer paragraphs for those who are looking for more detail. The language is a mixture of scientific terms and plain English making it easy to understand. There is a mixture of humour in the illustrations and text which makes it easier to remember the facts. This would be a great book to share with a younger reader or to have in a book corner for older students. It would draw in reluctant readers through the illustrations and short descriptions.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves exploring in the garden.
