Drawing, Art, Illustration Workshop for Kids - Wellington

09:00 am
16:00 pm
Raroa Intermediate 37 Haumia Street

Working alongside a published illustrator your child will be taken on a guided journey of discovery with help from award-winning illustrator Fifi Colston. Fifi Colston is well known for her work as a TV presenter. She is the award-winning author & illustrator of over 30 titles including Wearable Wonders and Torty and the Soldier. Your child will learn about thumbnails, storyboarding, character development and much more! They’ll find out what makes a picture book great. They'll discover how to creatively interpret the written word, how to explore colour and texture in new ways to make cool and exciting artwork. They’ll finish at least one illustration, perhaps a series of pictures that they could develop into a book. But most of all, they’ll have heaps of fun! The camp is on at Raroa Intermediate in Wellington and runs from Tuesday, 8th October 2019 until Thursday, 10th October 2019. The number of places on the camp is strictly limited so register early if your child is interested in attending the camp. The camp is non-residential, and runs from 9am to 4pm each day. The course fee is $180.00 including a discount for early-bird registration. If your child enjoys drawing and art they are sure to love this special school holiday camp. Not only will they be able to focus on their craft, they will also make new friends! For more information go to www.drawlikeanillustrator.com.
