2022 NZ Bookshop Day

Hold the date! NZ Bookshop Day for 2022 is scheduled for Saturday 8 October.

Genre-bending Fun: A one-day Kāpiti workshop with Lynn Jenner

Join writer, Lynn Jenner for this one-day Kāpiti workshop exploring how theme words tell a story and the ways in which we can use them for deeper and stranger works of fiction and non-fiction.

Everything Books Tauranga Book festival

A book festival for Kiwi self-published authors to present their books for sale and signing and chat with the public. A treat for all book lovers to browse the many genres. Children will be especially catered for with entertainment by authors and heaps of books to buy. Writing workshops for aspiring writers, book bundle raffles and spot prizes - of books of course! Book printers, mentors, editors and publishers also represented.
An awesome day for the whole family.

The Secret Art of Editing

Join us for a behind-the-scenes peek at the world of publishing and editing. Poet Laureate Chris Tse will chair a panel of graduates and ākonga of the Whitireia Publishing Programme, who will reveal the realities of editing and being edited. Bring your burning publishing questions!

2022 Yarns in Barns: Wairarapa Festival of Reading

Yarns in Barns is the Wairarapa's biennial literary festival for the community with a distinctly rural twist. Bringing together some of New Zealand’s best writers, poets and storytellers for two weeks of events held in an eclectic range of venues across the region. From bookshops to libraries, wineries to wildlife centres and of course, it goes without saying – barns!
