Little Baa Baa & Quirky Turkey in Bedtime Blast-off!
This is the third book in the series and you just know that the ‘battle’ between Little Baa Baa and Quirky Turkey is going to be both hilarious and cringy.
The book is written almost entirely in the first person and the use of speech bubbles is a great way to teach children about direct speech or to introduce them to comic books. The speech would lend itself nicely to a role play for the older students who are better able to understand the humour and able to use tone to add to the enjoyment of reading aloud.
As Quirky Turkey tries to sell Little Baa Baa his bedtime drink, the students are able to use both their inference and prediction skills, especially if they have read Baa Baa Smart Sheep and I Love Lemonade.
