- The 2023 Kupu Māori Writers Festival will take place in Rotorua, 17-23 September. Follow the link to get tickets and view the programme.
- 12pm on 14 September is Te Wā Tuku Reo Māori (Māori Language Moment) as part of Te Wiki o te Reo Māori. Take part in your own way or click the link to see some suggestions.
- Congratulations to one of our brilliant Writers in Schools authors Giselle Clarkson. She has been named as one of the 2023 Arts Foundation Te Tumu Toi Laureates, receiving the Mallinson Rendel Illustrators Award.
- Wellington Poetry Slam Champs takes place 30 September at the National Library.
- Te Whanganui-a-Tara based Good Books is hosting Queer Practice: A Panel on Writing. Organised by SameSame But Different, this celebration of writing practice of local queer writers will take place on 16 September.
