Opening sentence
We're getting SPLATTERED by sky blobs!
The same cast of characters appear in this second episode of the 'Miles and Jones' series, and though they promise a recap of 'The Anaconda Attack', there’s no time as they are suddenly rained upon by sky blobs. Glam-Evil has cursed the park, and while the adults are keen to run to the safety of their respective homes, Miles and Jones are set on reversing the curse and saving their favourite park. The cover illustration accurately depicts this difference between generations. With trademark humour, this intrepid group overcomes obstacles and dangers.
I love how readers will learn the difference between magma and lava, and what happens when heat reacts with ‘goo’. Smith has included some 'science' in the story sparking curiosity in readers. The last few pages introduce the readers to the next danger: carnivorous cactuses. Therefore this series is best read in order. The onomatopoeia and illustrations add action to the story, making this a fun read.
