Opening sentence
You don't know how lucky you are. Call me cynical, but I think that's BS.
Dropped straight into a world completely parallel to ours apart from one small thing - Levincium.

Emma Clancey brings the inauthenticity - and inequality in today's world to the forefront, all wrapped up in a fast paced fantasy/science fiction/romance/dystopian novel. I found it really hard to put down, and when I did put it down I was left analysing the comparisons that are made between the current economic climate, and growing disparities in our world to the world Nora lives in.

This glance behind the curtain of the rich and famous really makes you think and the way the characters are written and seen, through the heroine Nora’s eyes makes them have so many dimensions, you may find yourself feeling sorry for them - even if they do have everything.

Drug use and sexual references give this book its 15+ age rating and not something to be read aloud, but in saying that, a book that explores so many valuable avenues, all closely linked to the youth of today, it would be well worth studying in an upper secondary school class.
