Opening sentence
When the shimmering white envelope appeared in the failing cherry tree one chilly spring morning, eleven-year-old Juniper Mayfair thought nothing of it.
Juniper Mayfair has received a long-awaited invitation to Miracle, a mysterious magical island where all your wishes can come true. When she gets there, she discovers that all is not as it seems and so sets out with Finnegan Frost (the ghost who isn’t a ghost), and new friends Oscar and Izzy to solve the mystery of Miracle and hopefully rid themselves of the curse of chaos along the way.

Curlett has used alternative spellings to distinguish between similar concepts in the two worlds she created i.e. chaos/khaos, Miracle/Mirakel, etc. Though this could create confusion for people listening to the story as an audiobook or read aloud, I can see why she's done this. 'Welcome to Miracle' will appeal to readers of fantasy adventures who like to be kept guessing right up until the end.
