Lynda Tomalin is an author of contemporary Young Adult novels with sweet romances, an emphasis on strong friendships and empowering mental health representation.

Lynda's debut novel was The Stars Burn Bright, followed by Only Ours, the List Assist and Flying and Falling, which was a Storylines Notable Book Award winner in 2023 and shortlisted for the 2022 Storylines Tessa Duder Award for Unpublished YA Fiction. 

Lynda Tomalin lives in a small town in New Zealand, where she writes sweet, swoony books about teenagers finding their place in the world.

Her books embrace themes of friendship, mental health, and belonging and are recommended for readers aged 12+

​She is a mum of three girl and a farmer's wife, and says when she's not daydreaming about her fictional characters and trying to find space for all the books she keeps buying, she works in administration (but mostly only to fund making books).

Under a different name, Lynda also writers contemporary, swoony, small-town romance for adults.
