Opening sentence
The highs and heartbreak of caring for the animals we love.
I would recommend this book to young adults who love animals. It emphasises the importance of caring, and being a responsible owner. There are some sad parts, that will resonate with anyone who has been a pet owner. I liked the book's structure: short, one-off stories, that could be read separately or as one.
