Opening sentence
Calum is going on an adventure, beyond the only forest he’s known, to explore all the ecosystems other cool animals call home.
Calum the Chameleon visits many different ecosystems, from ice to desert, wet to dry, and everywhere in between in this charming interactive book. The reader will learn the main characteristics of each ecosystem in a fact-filled rhyming text. The illustrations by Evan Heasman are so engaging with such vivid colours. Hidden in the pictures are Calum and a few of his friends that you will typically find in the featured environment. There are also facts at the end of the book about chameleons and what ecosystems are.
'Calum the Chameleon' is beautifully presented, and the interactive element will both draw readers into the illustrations and support understanding of the book's concepts.
