Opening sentence
Some of us just learn a little differently from others…
'Learning Is Like Riding a Bicycle' compares learning to ride a bike with learning other new skills. Within the simile “learning is like riding a bicycle”, the author and illustrator offer different learning scenarios. They have used different bikes and different characters to support the text, which lends itself to reflection and dialogue about how we learn and how each person learns differently.
This book uses easy to read, well-spaced type and a short narrative on each page, making it accessible to a diverse audience. It would be great to share with students struggling with learning and/or self-esteem within the learning environment.
