Opening sentence
Today I got out of bed and asked Mom what day it was. “Monday”, she said.
This is a great book to share with children who may be feeling a bit left out or struggling with having a busy working parent. It is written like a diary or recount from Neve's perspective, which would be a great way to open a conversation about how they were feeling about having a busy parent. The message at the end of the story reminds children that while mum or dad might be busy with work, they are still important. A great reminder for many of us parents as well.
