Opening sentence
“What do you call a pūkeko solving a mystery?” Clue-Keko.
This is a light-hearted story about a detective on the hunt to find who spilled the blue paint. Follow the trail with clues from none other than Clue-keko, the pūkeko detective of course.
Questions are posed along the format of “What do you call a ……..pūkeko?” and you wouldn’t believe how many interesting words can be contrived to rhyme with pūkeko. From shoe-keko to shampoo-keko the list is amazing.
While the text is minimal, it is interactive and engaging. The illustrations are engaging and rich in detail supporting the text to solve the riddles. This book should be read aloud and shared with the whole class.
