Before the farmer’s day is done, she does her chores one by one.
I loved reading this book - Ruth Paul’s books never disappoint! This picture book tells how a farmer mislays her favourite sheep pyjamas, and as a result she cannot sleep. She is so tired the next day that she mixes up all her farm chores, chaos ensues and the animals realise that they have to help her find her special pyjamas otherwise their lives will not return to normal.

The story is written in humorous rhyme with each page having a number of bold, colourful pictures that illustrate the farmer going about her work. These complement the text beautifully, and make it easy for a young reader to follow the story.

This is a great read aloud book for pre-school and primary aged children, and would be an excellent addition to any school library or bookcase.
