Opening sentence
Rosie likes wrapping things.
'Wrapping Things' is about a young girl, called Rosie. She enjoys wrapping all sorts of things; crayons, toys, presents. As the story continues things quietly change around Rosie, until one day a new baby arrives, wrapped in a cuddly blanket.
This picture book has lovely illustrations, for young readers to be interested in. The repetition of the theme 'wrapped things' adds an interest for the reader to ask questions - what will be wrapped next? It also opens up the discussion of families, becoming a sibling for younger children, and all the excitement that comes with a growing family.
A great book to have on a library shelf, for young readers to enjoy.
