Opening sentence
The tractor has a wobbly wheel. A wobbly wheel is not ideal.
Tim Saunders is both an award-winning writer and a farmer, in The Tractor Has a Wobbly Wheel he combines his two vocations to great success.

This fun-filled picture book is perfect for young children. It worked brilliantly as a read-aloud with my class, who absolutely loved it. The use of rhythm, rhyme, and repetition had them laughing as they tried to guess what would happen next. The farm animals trying to fix the wobbly wheel are brought to life by Carla Martell's bright and beautiful, action-packed illustrations.

There is an activity pack available on the Publisher's website, which includes a maze and a colouring-in page. Older students may be able to use the text as a writing prompt or simply to learn how the author's choice of words has added to the enjoyment of the text.
